I have spent all week making this cake. All. Week. Wedding cakes are crazy!
Anyway, I photo documented the best parts (the worst would be being away from my house for a week since the cake is for a high school friend into hometown, and my daughter getting sick and wanting me to hold her the whole time)
Here is the cake mostly stacked! This bad boy is four layers tall!
Here are the girls sitting on the counter next to the cake. They really got into eating frosting…
While we were decorating, Molly and her cousin Riley made a huge mess throwing plastic silverware everywhere! However, when your trying to get a task done, you’ll take a small mess for a little uninterrupted work time.
It was then that disaster struck.
Ok that is a bit dramatic, but we got an arm in the cake while moving it (note the messed up bottom layer) and the more I tried to fix it, the worse it got.
Of course I finally got it smoothed out and finished decorating it and it was smooth sailing.
I made a very smart decision to put a dowel rode down the center. It made driving the cake across town sooooo much less stressful…
And here it is, delivered and decorated with flowers:
The best part of a wedding cake is when it’s done and I can enjoy the final result! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
Sort of ice cream sandwiches. I had these cookies and I genius idea last night! I mixed honey, Greek yogurt, a splash of vanilla and some fresh black berries together. Then put them between two cookies and froze them. Soooo good!!!
